Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is a famous American actor and producer. She has gained recognition for her outstanding roles in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Piano, as well as The Incredibles. Her film Piano was awarded an Oscar. The accomplished actress started her acting career on the stage by performing in a myriad of Broadway and Off-Broadway projects. It has always been her passion. In fifth grade, she portrayed Helen Keller in an original production. In the fifth grade, due to mumps, she lost hearing in the left ear. She did not let it stop her from performing. She was a drama major at the college after which she moved between Pittsburgh to New York City to follow her goals. Hunter met Beth Henley by chance in a lift. Together, they wrote Broadway Crimes of the Heart. The play was Hunter's first acting debut. Following her move into Los Angeles she tried to find film roles, and was able to secure an acting role as a support in Swing Shift. Since her time in Los Angeles she has appeared featured in a variety of TV shows and movies. Holly Hunter won a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in addition to her Women in Film Lucy Award.
